Simultaneous Interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting involves the real-time oral translation of spoken words into another language. In this process, interpreters sit in specially designed, soundproof interpreting booths with direct visibility of the speaker. As this interpreting method demands an exceptionally high level of concentration, interpreters work in teams of at least two individuals. This technique is particularly well-suited for extensive, multilingual conferences, congresses and seminars or events involving more than three languages.
